Money Flow and Risk Level of the Private Sector Bank Shares: Demonetization

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to measure the risk level and the trend of the private sector bank share under Nifty Bank Index. The study covers the daily closing price, high price, low price and the trade volume of the nifty bank stocks from September 1, 2016, to March 31, 2017. The stocks are such as the Federal bank, Axis bank, IDFC bank, HDFC bank and KOTAK bank. The risk level of the share has been measured by beta. The market trend of the share has been employed by the money flow index.
