Abstract

Change occurs continuously in an organization leading to increase in effectiveness and approach performance and finally result in organizational development. Recently the textile companies at Tiruppur collectively known as ‘textile hub’ of south India encountered major operational changes due to environmental issues and government regulations. This study investigates the major factors that sustain the organizational change and their influence on organizational development. The primary data were collected from 385 full time employees of textile companies located at Tiruppur. The opinion towards the dimensioned factors has been utilized for the development of the framework for structural equation modelling of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The final structural path model and the CFA were executed with the help of Analysis of Moment structure (AMOS). The result of the study showed that, the absolute fit indices have an acceptable fit to the sample data as well as the proposed model. This would aid the company to have a focus on those factors while implementing change policies that help performance enhancement.
