Online published on 17 December, 2016. Abstract Today, most organizations have been involved in far more sophisticated situations and conditions than in the past. Changes in conditions, environments and the need to accurate information at different levels of management have created the possibility of developing and employing management information systems with accurate and appropriate information, which can lead to better designing, planning and decision makings by managers, and thus, better results. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between MIS and administrative change. The study was a cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational research. The study population included the staff of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, of which, the sample size was selected with 152 subjects. The inferential statistics methods were used to answer the hypotheses. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between MIS, equipment and software, inter-organizational networks, human resources (users) and procedures with administrative developments. The Friedman test results showed a significant difference between the means of management information system indices. Also, equipment and software, inter-organizational networks, staffing and the procedures were respectively the most important aspects.
