Abstract This research was aimed to study the status of employment of knowledge management (KM) in Water and Power Resources Development Company from the staff's point of view. The research was practical in terms of objective and correlational-descriptive in term of data collection. The population of the study consisted of 545 individuals of water and Power Resources Development Company (including experts and managers) of which 226 participants were chosen as a sample size using Cochran formula and stratified random sampling method. A 30-question researcher-made questionnaire was used in order to collect data. The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to assess the reliability of the questionnaire, which the value was 0.82. In order to assess the validity, the content validity was used and for this purpose the questionnaire was approved by the relevant experts. Analyzing the data collected from the questionnaire was done by SPSS software in two parts of descriptive (Frequency, percentage, density, central and dispersion parameters) and inferential (Chi-square test). The result of the study showed that: 1- Development and improvement of knowledge is not in a proper status; 2- Publication and sharing of knowledge is not in a proper status; 3- Application of knowledge is not in a proper status; 4- Saving and conservation of knowledge is not in a proper status.
