Abstract

Sustainable growth and development in any business area requires innovation and ability to imagine new ways of doing things. It is the key strategic concern for the companies in the next decade. To achieve extraordinary results there is an imperative need to explore more provocative points of views and radical innovation ideas challenging the conventional thinking. Human Resource Management is an important foundation pillar of the organization that manages the most important asset of the organization that is the people. HR managers need to think beyond the box and not blindly stick with the tried processes and approaches that have worked in the past. The paper covers certain areas which are social recruiting, private social networks, social referrals and social reputation management and also discusses the unique contribution that innovative practices like usage of social media in human resources (HR) play to shape this future agenda. To exemplify the best among the new, the report highlights some instances that have adopted and successfully gained from these new practices.
