Abstract

Working women in the IT sector in India are prone to job stress due to demands of the career for growth. Everyone needs to work hard for growth but the ladder for women has more obstacles Based on a research of 300 working women in IT sector of NCR region of Delhi, career growth demands were found to be a definite factor leading to job stress. Out of the various sub factors analyzed under career growth demands, discrimination in promotions & non inclusion in meetings & parties necessary for networking were found to be significant factors influencing job stress.
