Abstract Corporate social responsibility is the idea that business should not function instead the business should contribute to the welfare of the communities. It helps the companies to make their goodwill among the customers. The corporate social responsibility is the new idea of growing environment which helps the society for improving their standard of living. The Government of India has also made mandatory for the companies to contribute some portion of their profits towards social welfare. Corporate Social Responsibility benefits in many ways like it helps the society in improving their status, government shifts its main role of duty i.e. social welfare on the shoulders of companies and companies increases their goodwill with the help of more participation in CSR. Today, corporate social responsibility helps the companies to increase their goodwill in the eyes of customer and also in the eyes of government. This paper explores the impact of CSR on companies. The big corporate houses of India are spending large portion of their profits in CSR for improving the customers relationship which ultimately helps in increasing their profits.
