Abstract With the recent economic crisis, in having a petroleum-based economy, Norway has withstood the fluctuation in the international business sector. Indeed, the Norwegian economy is prosperous despite the global recession. There is a positive outlook in the Norwegian market and there are no major deterrents for emerging business leaders. Nevertheless, the high taxation and high cost of living along with the eventual depletion of oil deposits may impact long term investment opportunities in Norway. Fortunately, in anticipation of oil and gas production decline, Norway has been preparing for a sustainable future by creating a petroleum fund with global investment portfolios. So, with a stable, well educated workforce, good labor relations, well developed infrastructure and technology along with low corruption statistics and a high standard of living, Norway emerges as a solid market and global investment opportunity.
