An investigation of effectiveness of melli bank loan paid to SMES: A survey in Iran Shokuhi Akbar*, Chashmi S. Abstract This study was carried out to measure the effectiveness of the finance granted by Melli Bank to SMEs. For having a variable survey of work, the authors used the documents available in the Ministry of Cooperatives, Work and Social Welfare of all SMEs in Iran's northern provinces (Mazandaran, Gilan and Golestan) which used the facilities of Melli Bank as quick impact plans and there are more than 2740 enterprises, also for answering the questionnaire related to variables of the fairly distribution of resources, efficiency of banking facilities and developing industrial towns, the authors used the ideas of 70 managers and experts involved with quick impact plans, randomly. The results indicated that, Melli Bank facilities to SMEs were effective just in creating jobs, development plans and expanding industrial towns in Iran's northern provinces, but they couldn't comply banking purposes and fairly distribution of resources and also creating new and unfinished plans of employment.
