Abstract A value chain development is the mode of activity which can help in the delivery of services to farmers. A value chain in agriculture can provide several benefits like expansion of agri-business; expansion of area under market-led crops; enhancement in credit absorption capacity of stake holders; reduction in cost and improvement in quality, increase in income and employment opportunities; profitable use of land; and agriculture-led growth.
