Online published on 20 March, 2012. Abstract Inadequate use of instructional materials in our primary schools may be responsible for the crises in the schools due to which some pupils do not understand various concepts and this has incapacitated them from meeting the society's developmental needs. This study looked at the utilization of instructional materials by primary school teachers in the Mid Western Schools in Nigeria. A tool to assess the utilization of instructional materials (UIMQ) was administered on the 240 sampled teachers. The findings of the study revealed that qualification, working experience and gender of the teacher had significant influence on the utilization of instructional material. The paper has also made some recommendations on how teachers’ can be motivated to use more instructional materials. Top Keywords Instructional material, Utilization. Top |
