Abstract

Acne is a localized skin inflammation as a result of over activity of the oil glands at the base of specialized hair follicles. Acne happens when oil (sebaceous) glands come to life around puberty, when these glands are stimulated by male hormones that are produced in the adrenal glands of both boys and girls. The main objective of this study was to prepare the optimized formula of a Resorcinol based gel containing Sulfur as the absorbent (excess oil) for treatment of Acne which may help to unclog pores and also dries out dead skin cells. This study is further aimed to analyze, concentration of drug absorbing into the skin and to study its effect in acne.
