Abstract Though different countries have different health care systems, the role of health care system is to improve the quality of life and to promote the social wellbeing of the people, which is well recognized. The Government of India and other agencies have contributed to the expansion of the health care system but still India is lagging in the position of health Indicators. This chapter makes an attempt to depict the position of India with regard to the health indicators in the Global Scenario and a look into the position of different states in India with respect to its various health indicators.
