Abstract

The study was undertaken in Rajouri district of J&K state. The data collected from 120 farmers revealed that the majority of the farmers adopted the maize technology moderately. However, the subject matter areas like ‘seed treatment’, ‘method of sowing’, ‘water management’, ‘insects and pest management’, and ‘line to line to spacing’ were adopted at its lowest ebb. This calls for appropriate and viable extension approaches to cater the unique agro ecological and socio economic requirements of rainfed agriculture.
