Online published on 12 June, 2012. Abstract Peripheral osteoma is a rare benign osteoblastic tumor with distinctive histologic characteristics. Their occurrence in jaw bones is extremely rare. The purpose of this article is to present an overview regarding a rare case of gigantic periosteal osteoma of the mandible.
