Abstract Proper investigation of injury and death from electrocution requires a high level of suspicion, as examination of the victim will more often prove negative. Electrical marks are produced when electric current encounters resistance from the skin. This resistance is maximum with dry skin and reduces when the body is wet. These classical features though suggestive of electrocution may not be seen in all cases. We report a case of fatal electrocution due to low-voltage current which although had features suggestive of entry wound of electric current, yet was inconclusive on histopathological examination.
