Abstract
Study on the influence of photoperiod on pupation behaviour of Chrysomya megacephala (Fabricius) and Chrysomya rufifacies (Macquart) revealed that photoperiod effected pupal period, pupation behaviour as well as eclosion success. Eclosion success was highest at LD 12:12 and lowest at LD 24:0 for both the species. Increase in light regime leads to prolongation of pupal period. Post feeding larvae penetrated deep at LD 24:0 whereas they showed moderate penetration at LD 12:12.
