Abstract The treatment of post-partum uterine prolapse in 16 cows and 11 buffaloes (27 animals) was attempted using button sutures instead of the usual technique of purse string sutures. Large coat buttons were found to be useful in reducing the chances of vulval lips damage. The pressure of straining was found to be shifted over the buttons. The method was found to be successful in correcting uterine prolapse in both cattle and buffaloes. Top Keywords Buffalo, button sutures, cattle, uterine prolapse. Top |
