SLEEP WELL, LIVE FULLY AWAKE !!
We sleep for almost one-third of our lifetime. A vast number of diseases occur due to disordered sleep and such disorders impact our lives profoundly. Sleep apnea is one of the major disorders; other diseases include insomnia, parasomnias and sleep deprivation. They are often associated with high rates of vehicular accidents, work-absenteeism, cardiovascular diseases and strokes. Sleep disorders in children can impact their physical and mental growth and development. Early detection and prompt treatment of these diseases can bring about immense improvement in the health - related - quality of life and prevent morbidity and mortality both amongst adults as well as the pediatric population.
