Abstract

Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma (MEC) is the most commonly occurring malignant salivary gland neoplasm comprising 2.8%-15% of all salivary gland tumors. A 50 year old male patient presented with an intraoral soft tissue swelling in right retromolar region which was moderately tender, soft in consistency over alveolar ridge and firm on its lingual aspect. The lesion was clinically diagnosed as Infected Keratinising Cyst and confirmed to be Well Differentiated Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma in retromolar region.
