Integrated approach for the management of blight of cauliflower

Cauliflower is infected by leaf and inflorescence blight caused by Alternaria brassicae (Berk.) and causes an economic loss to the farmers. Fungicides, botanicals and biocontrol agents have been used to control the disease and in the present investigation a combination of these three components have been used for successful management of the malady. In both leaf and inflorescence blight the pooled data of both seasons clearly indicate that removal of lower infected leaves followed by spraying of mancozeb 75WP reflected the best control having a PDI value of 4.22 and 26.23 respectively. This was followed by Propineb 70WP in combination with A. indica and T. harzianum in the control of both leaf and inflorescence blight
