Sodium azide induced high yielding early mutant in lentil

Seeds of lentil (Lens culinaris Medik) var. Pant L-406 (microsperma)were treated with sodium azide (SA). The treated population showed an increased range of induced variability for various quantitative characters. Few early and high yielding mutants were selected from the M3 population.
