Abstract Human rights are based on the principle of inherent dignity and the entitlement to enjoy her/his rights without facing any form of discrimination. There is a need to secure to each person an equal and inalienable right to live in freedom to enjoy equality, to be treated justly and to live in peace. The realization of Human Rights lies at the heart of democracy, development and good governance. Every nation should seek to make human rights a reality for every citizen and ensure that these rights are protected, promoted and not violated by the State. This paper aims to examine all the provisions made under various international and national measures to protect the human rights and also suggest the practical approach and implementation of these measures.
