A study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of muga silk worm pupae meal (MSWPM) as a substitute for fish meal at 0.00, 50.00 or 100.00% level on the breeding performance of White Leghorn (WLH) breeder males. Results of the study indicated that ejaculate volume of semen and per cent live spermatozoa decreased significantly (P<0.05) when fish meal was replaced by MSWPM at 50 or 100% level. However, sperm motility reduced significantly (P<0.05) only at highest level of replacement. Per cent live abnormal spermatozoa increased significantly at both the levels of replacement. Dietary MSWPM had no significant influence on the pH of semen, sperm concentration in males and fertility and hatchability (fertile eggs set) of WLH female breeders.
