The experiment was carried out at CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar during 1988–89 and 1989–90 to study the effect of growth regulators on seedling tuber production in field conditions. The two years results indicated that use of 5 ppm and 10 ppm IBA as root dip treatment before transplantlng improved survival percentage of plants, plant height, number of branches, number of leaves pel plant, foliage weight and total seedling tuber yield significantly over control. The yield of seedling tubers recorded with IBA-5 ppm was statistically at par with normal planted erop of cv. Kufri Chandramukhi whereas number of tubers per plant from transplanted crop was significantly higher (almost three times) over cv Kufri Chandramukhi and Kufri Badshah.
